soon!
I tried to make a post yesterday from my laptop, but there was something wrong with the internet connection. I'm using Libor's computer right now but I typed a long post on my laptop so it will have to wait until I can find a place to connect my laptop to the internet - last night one of Libor's friends suggested a place to go to, so hopefully tomorrow I can do that.
I'm having a good time so far - all new experiences. Sometimes I'm frustrated with the communication barrier, but everyone is so nice that it makes it worth it for me to be here. I'm glad I made the decision to come with Libor... I don't think I would have been happy to say goodbye in the United States and have it end there. The frustration will pay off when I get more comfortable with my communication skills and improve my Czech. To be honest, I don't know if deaf Czechs can lipread Czech at all - they speak FAST and seems most of the sounds are made behind the lips, and lips don't move much at all. I am recognizing some sounds, which is good. I'm making steps in the right direction. I cannot, however, identify new words by sound. I have to see it written over and over again and then see it pronounced. It will take time. Italian is much easier, in my opinion, but I will get there.
I'll try to make that post tomorrow. I need to go and see if I can get a SIM card for my Sidekick. :-)
