Greetings from Czech Republic!
Libor and I arrived after 10 hours of travel... it really doesn't feel that long, the time passed rather quickly! We passed through security at Dulles and got on the plane without any international incident on Libor's part, although we had a close call when he was pretty upset that there was no Czech flag hanging in the terminal. ;-)
I definitely recommend Scandinavian Airlines as a way to travel overseas - every seat had an lcd display and we could choose from several movies, an interactive map of the flight, games, music, etc. There were 2 cameras on the outside of the plane - one in the front and one on the bottom, so we could see the view from outside of the plane. It was funky! Yes, Libor got some shots of the views, so I'll post them soon. ;-) The meals were pretty good too. The only negative is that I couldn't sleep, but that's nothing new - I just can't sleep on planes.
Passing through customs in Prague was the fastest I ever experienced - there was no line, cuz Libor was bumped into a different line for EU citizens only so I had the line to myself. ;-) The officer didn't say anything but stamp my passport, and I zipped through. His parents met us outside, they were VERY excited to see Libor. He looks like his dad! My gosh! Gestures, body language, everything! Jeez!
Now we are at a train station waiting for our train to get to Breclav. More from me later as my time on the internet is coming to an end - 15 minutes on the internet for 25 czech crowns, however much that is, I still have no idea.
xoxo
