Hello from Maryland, USA

Hey, I'm sure some of you are wondering about my progress at this point! :-)

I'm now in Maryland at Chris's house... Mom, Aunt M, Libor and I drove from Michigan to MD on Friday - it was a good trip and we made excellent time. The weekend visit with all was very nice! :-) I cried this morning as I said goodbye to Mom and Aunt M. Each step of the way has its own goodbyes and endings! Pft.

I'm sick with a cold, so I took advantage of today to SLEEP and just rest, drinking tea and watching movies. One thing I learned - don't drink green tea before going to bed, it makes you stay awake. I was awake until 4am this morning because of the green tea. That is over and lesson learned.

Libor and I will head to NYC tomorrow for 3 days. We decided not to do Boston because I wasn't feeling well, the travel time, and the additional costs, so we will just do NYC. It'll be good though because we'll have more time to explore the city - so far we've already got things to do for a full 3 days! :-)

Being with Fae and Devon is great! As is being with Chris and Tracy. I'm just amazed at the relationship that Devon and Fae have - it's so sweet to see Fae tease Devon and his charming little one-cornered smile! I guess that's what happens when you have 2 kids as opposed to 3 (i.e. Chris and Amy vs. Me)! Fae has a crush on Libor so she pretty much follows him everywhere and talks to him all the time even though he has no idea what she is saying. Whew that made me feel better - I thought I was the only one who had no idea what Fae was saying. ;-)

We will be back on Friday from NYC, so I'm looking forward to more time to be able to spend with the kiddos and the siblings, plus see more of DC and such.

Hard to believe that next Thursday I'll be off over the great blue yonder into a new adventure. :-)

More later...
:-) Kate
